He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. O'Brien and Mary A. Connors O'Brien; his sister Mary Therese "Reese" Lauder; and his brother-in-law Thomas J. Harmon. He is survived by: his wife Patricia H. Mooney; his daughter Kathleen M. Johnson (Sam) of Milford, MA; his grandsons, Samuel, Patrick, Michael, Shaun and Christopher; his daughter Maureen E. Cimini (Reno) of Glendale, AZ; his grandchildren, Marino, Nicole, Matthew and Jennifer; his son John J. O'Brien (Linda) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Connor, Caitlin and John; his daughter Patricia O'Brien Kelly of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Sean P. Kelly, Jacqueline and Andrew; his daughter Anne M. O'Brien (John) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Collin, Alexandra and Shane; his son Daniel W. O'Brien (Brenda Durant) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Aidan; his daughter Bridget King (Christopher); his grandchild Sawyer; his child Additionally; and his siblings, David J. O'Brien (Joanne) of Holden, MA and Elizabeth O'Brien Harmon of Pittsfield. He is also survived by his 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Sisters of St. Joseph in care of the funeral home.
