It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Alger of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 24, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John J. McGill and Marjorie Pulver (Savory); and her daughter Kimberley Ann Volin. She is survived by: her husband Steve; her daughters, Kellie Kindel (Jeremy) of Pittsfield and Cassandra Alger of North Adams; her granddaughter Amaya Alger of Pittsfield; her siblings, Christine Kiernan (Patrick) of Lanesboro, Kathleen McGill of Pittsfield, Carol Wilson (Patrick) of Pittsfield and Ray Pulver Jr. (Tom) of California; and her siblings-in-law, Jim, Rick (Maureen), Gary (Dori), Scott Alger (Linda), Evelyn Spagnolo (John), Patti, Cheryl and Melody Alger. She is also survived by friends, especially her sisters and mother.
The family kindly requests that anyone attending services to wear a mask at both the funeral home and the cemetery and to please practice social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to "The Jimmy Fund of the Berkshires" and mailed to the funeral home.
