He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Zilpha "Sis" Bellinger Thompson and Orlo L. Thompson; his wife Jeannie of Burlington, NJ.; his children, Laurie Beth Keatts of Hickory and Stephen Ruhl Thompson; his grandchildren, Jillian, Lucy Keatts, Fiona and Brayden Thompson; and his siblings, Orlo Stephen Thompson of Groton, MA and Zilpha "Zell" Thompson Murray of Springfield, MA..
He was very active in the community after his retirement, and had the opportunity to serve in many organizations, including The Council on Aging, Berkshire United Way, RSVP, Soldier On, The Santa Toy Fund, Big Sisters, Goodwill Industries, Berkshire Place, and at Berkshire Health System.
