Jean Marie Ryan Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Marie Ryan of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 18, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Larson and Charles Larson; and her brother Robert Larson. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Leo T. Ryan; her children, Paul T. Ryan (Kimberly Mattoon) of Pittsfield and Susan R. Martin (John) of Pittsfield; her grandchildren, Thomas Martin (Amanda), Michael Martin (Kate) and Daniel Martin (Nikki); and her great grandchildren, Mia, Jade, Hadley, Jack and Luke.
She also received the 2011 Volunteer of the Year Award from the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), where she served as Board President for four years and was a pivotal leader of the Capeless School Friends Read youth literacy project and the City Hall Ambassador Desk.
