He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Samel and Helen Wolfe Samel. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn A. VanBramer of Pittsfield; his sister Jane S. Samel of Brandon, FL; his aunts, Elaine Epstein of Pittsfield, MA and Rosemarie Wolfe of Roswell, GA; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Pomeroy (Alan) of Pittsfield; and his pets, Cubby and Shadow. He is also survived by numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the ALS Association of MA in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
