He was predeceased by: his sister Kathleen; his brother-in-law Paul Daoust; and his niece Annette Bisson. He is survived by: his son Charles Maces (Heather); his sister Carol Nicholson; his grandchildren, Matthew and Jenna; his niece Cherie Ferber; his nephews, Daniel Daoust and Jeremy Nicholson; his brother-in-law Daniel Francesconi; his friend Stan; and also Frieda Bercury Maces.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Butch's memory can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
