Helen E. Sciarra Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 10, 2024, at the age of 91, Helen E. Sciarra of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, born in Watertown, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Helen's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Helen has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Edus and Elizabeth Brennan Edus; her husband Peter Sciarra; her siblings, Mary Marconi, Theresa Anne Elliott and Leonard Edus; and her daughter Paula Sciarra.
She is survived by: her daughter Dianne Heckman (Clifford) of Pittsfield, MA; her brother Joseph Edus of Brownville, NY; and her granddaughter Kimberly Heckman (Jeremy Lawson) of Jacksonville, FL.. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Sacred Heart Church (191 Elm St, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Sacred Heart Church or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, both in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
