It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Eleanor (Trudy) Potash of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, born in West New York, New Jersey, who passed away on October 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Hanlon and Gertrude Hanlon; her grandsons, Joseph and Charles Potash; her sisters, Lucille Zintel (Cindy) and Carole Blevins; her niece Jann Simmons; her nephews, Jimmy Simmons and Thomas Potash; and her friend Anne Myrick.
She is survived by: her sister Cindy; her husband Chester F. Potash (Chet); her children, Cathy Walsh (Bill) of Great Barrington, MA, Chet Potash (Leslie) of North Adams, MA, Caryn Kirk (Tim) of Raleigh, NC, Christopher Potash of Rochester, NY and Joseph Potash of Pittsfield, MA; her grandchildren, Brittany, Matthew, Michael Walsh, McKenzie Hebert, Mitchell Anderson, Ryan Kirk (Megan), Evan Kirk (Victoria), Chloe, Molly and Lucy Potash; her great grandchildren, Nora, Emily Kirk and Callum Atwell; her brother Charles Hanlon (Debbie); and her sisters-in-law, Eileen Potash and Jeanine Potash. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Trudy's memory can be made to the Marion Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Eden Hill, Stockbridge, MA 01263 in care of the funeral home.
