We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2024, Frederick L. Austin D. Jr. of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, born in Melrose, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Austin and Caroline Austin; his wife Ruth Austin; and his sister Muriel Austin. He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Thacker (Jeffrey), Laurel Austin, Melissa Haddick (David) and Susan Kirk (Jeffrey); and his grandchild Katya Merrill (James). He is also survived by grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dr. Austin's memory can be made to the American Heart Association or Berkshire Humane Society.
