He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Smith and Phyllis Smith (Smith); his wife Patricia A Smith; his son Francis C Smith Jr.; and his siblings, MaryJane Lebrun, Marion Smith, Richard Smith, Frederick Smith and Charles Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Shea (Shawn) of Pittsfield and Daniel J Smith Sr. of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Devlyn, Patrick, Austin, Shawn, Harley and Daniel; his siblings, Phyllis Smith of Dalton and Robert Smith of Pittsfield; his great grandchildren, Payton and Mackenzie; and his niece Lea Ann (Leafer).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made out to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and mailed to the funeral home.
