Eugene W. Funk Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eugene W. Funk (Pittsfield, Massachusetts), born in Hillsdale, New York, who passed away on March 21, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Funk and Edith Stalker Funk; his daughter-in-law Jean Funk; his stepson Jeffrey Ferrin; and his sisters, Alice, Betty and Sandy.
He is survived by: his children, Melinda Nilson (Patrick) of Great Barrington, Miche'al Niles (Orin) of Dover Plains, N. Y., Michael Funk (Erica Foss) of Sheffield and Eugene W. Funk, Jr. (Linda) of Copake, N. Y.; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Carpenter (Greg) of Pittsfield, Raymond Ferrin (Alice) of Great Barrington and Brenda Ovit Carmel of Pittsfield; and his siblings, James Dellea of Port Charlotte, Fla., Frank Dellea (Jean) of North Carolina, William Funk (Patty) of North Port, Fla. and Susan Stalker (George) of Hillsdale, N. Y.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, ten step grandchildren and ten great step grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sheffield Hose Company or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
