He is survived by: his wife Arlene Sutherland; his sons, Edward McDermott (Joanne) and James McDermott (Maria); his grandchildren, Connor (Kennedy), Colin, Michelle, Cole, Cian and Laura; and his siblings, JoAnn Stephenson (Roger) and Mac (Connie).
