She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Butler and Esther Plumb Butler; her husband Tom Almstead; her brother William F. Butler; her son-in-law Robert Galvagni; and her nephew Matthew Butler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Gniadek (Ali) of San Ramon, CA and Debra Galvagni of Pittsfield; her grandchildren, Matthew Gniadek (Marisa) of Redwood Shores, CA and Sarah-Beth Mansfield (Ash) of San Ramon, CA; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Aiden Gniadek, Chase and Callan Mansfield; and her brothers, Arthur Butler (Cathy) of Pittsfield and Robert Butler (Mary Jo) of Kenmore, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Edie's memory can be made to the Elizabeth Freeman Center, Elder Services of Berkshire County, Inc., or the BCC Foundation Scholarship Fund, in care of the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home.
