Melle (Pittsfield, Massachusetts), born in Rensselaer, New York, who passed away on August 30, 2017, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Earl R. English, Thomas W. English, Donald T. English, Esther A. Kennedy and Mary A. Rupprecht.

She is survived by: her parents, Thomas I. and Mary A. Carrier English; her husband Charles J. Melle; and also Pittsfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter both in care of the Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
