He was predeceased by: his parents, David Stack Sr. and Barbara Murray Stack. He is survived by: his wife Gail Ann Stack of Pittsfield; his children, Sean Stack (Maria) of North Carolina and Megan Stack of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Leah Verchot, Elias and Aurora Stack; his siblings, David Stack of Pittsfield, Barbara Stack Russo of Pittsfield and Stacy Stack Arienti (Gregg) of Pittsfield; his stepchildren, Michelle Daunais of Pittsfield, Jannine Doyle (Al) of Pittsfield and Scott Gilardi of Adams; his stepgrandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan Daunais, Michael Doyle (Ashley), McKenzie and Sean Doyle; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Benjamin, Barrett and Emma.
