It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bette Samsel of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elmer C. and Bachelor of Science; her husband Richard Warren Samsel; her children, Peter Samsel, Peg Samsel and Dick Samsel (Nadine); her grandson Tanner Morgan (Brittany); and her brother Richard Muller. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
At the family's request, all who have not received a COVID-19 vaccination will be asked to wear a face mask.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Church of Christ in Pittsfield, Congregational or Central Berkshire Habitat for Humanity in care of the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East St, Pittsfield MA 01201, in her memory.Donations CANNOT be made online, but may be made through the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home.
