With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernard Murphy (Pittsfield, Massachusetts), who passed away on March 15, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Francis Murphy; and his siblings, Mary Ellen "Bodie" Goodnow, Peg Gregory, Anne Carroll, Billy Murphy and Catherine Higgins.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Jean Burke; his children, Charles B. Murphy (Kathy) of Pittsfield and Colleen Rufo (Darren) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Ashley Rufo, Nicholas Rufo, Tyler, Brett and Nathan Murphy; and his siblings, Tommy, Jimmy Murphy, Rita Welch, Pat, Michael, Mark Murphy and Patricia Jarvis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to "The American Cancer Society" and mailed to the funeral home at 40 Maplewood Ave. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
