She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Hamel and Cecile Hamel (Cadorette); her husband Bernard Houle; her siblings, Roger Hamel and Deborah Burgs; and her sister-in-law Rita Moffett.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Smith (Lawrence), Patricia van Roekens (Craig) and Roger Houle (Shaunna); her grandchildren, Lauren Seburn (Joshua), Andrew Smith (Bre), Evan, Ryan, Victoria van Roekens, Jaelyn and Parker Houle; her great grandchild Avery Seburn; her brother Bruce Hamel; her siblings-in-law, Carolyn Hamel, Raymond Moffett and Tom Burgs; and her caregivers, Irma, Kathy, Sharon and Julie.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory can be made to Pregnancy Support Services , Pittsfield MA or Save the Children, in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
