He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Nelson and Ivar Nelson; his parents-in-law, Cora Hiscock and William Hiscock; his brother Donald Nelson; his siblings-in-law, Billy Hiscock and Linda Ribeiro; his nephew Bobby Ribeiro; and his niece Amanda Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nelson (Hiscock); his children, Corie (Dan McHugh) of Kingston, MA and Jarrod Nelson of Pembroke, MA; his siblings, Jerry Nelson (Joan Andrews) of Cape Cod, MA, Mary (Joe Barry) of Cape Cod, MA and Linda (Bob Kussy) of Weymouth, MA.; his grandchildren, Liam, Colin and Allison; and his nieces and nephews, David Nelson, Michael Nelson, Denise Doyle, Michelle Wallace, Kelly Campbell and Christine Connell.
