He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary E. Ibbitson (Sullivan) and Richard H. Ibbitson; his stepmother Brenda Lee Mason of Florida; his siblings, Edward Ibbitson (Elizabeth) of Texas and Daniel Ibbitson; his stepsister Valarie Mason; and his daughter Kendall Mason. He was also cherished by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church.
