He was predeceased by: his parents, Battista Bernardi and Felicita Bernardi (Selvaggio). He is survived by: his wife Keiko Bernardi (Morishita); and his sisters-in-law, Nobue Morishita and Kayoko Kawakami of Japan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
