She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Allen and Doris Allen (Thayer); her husband Carl Peterson; her son Carl Peterson (Susan); and her siblings, Horace Allen III, Robert Allen, Lorna May Allen, Margaret Snyder, Fred Allen and Roberta Lynch.

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Janczurewicz (John), Michael Peterson (Maureen), Stephen Peterson, Charles Peterson (Kimberly), Annette DiIorio (Vincent) and Rebecca Skinner (John); her sister Barbara Hassett; her grandchildren, Hannah, Kyla, Braeden, Isabella, Harrison, Carl, Cara, Alex, Aaron, Haley, Michael, Caroline, Mia, Matthew, Julia, Marissa, Dominic, John and Lillian; and her great grandchild Sorina.
