He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Joy Gilberg; his parents, Samuel Gilberg and Esther Gilberg; his siblings, Harold Gilberg, Ida Spitzer and Frances Castleman; and his son Michael Gilberg.

He is survived by: his children, Richard Gilberg, Nancy Gilberg and Elizabeth Gilberg; his grandchildren, Adam and Sarah; and his family Salem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice or to the Boston Symphony Orchestra located at 301 Mass Ave, Boston MA.
