The memory of Marietta J. Norton of Peabody, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 8, 2024 at the age of 97, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Edward, Robert, Donald and Roger Harney; her daughter-in-law Sandy Norton; and her grandson Andrew Norton.
She is survived by: her husband Leo M. "Marty" Norton Jr.; her children, Gary Norton (late Sandy), Patricia Dunn of Andover, Arlene Santagate (Angelo) of Revere, Daniel Norton (Kimberly) of Malden, Lawrence Norton (Maureen) of Saugus, Katherine Norton-Edge (William), Susan Norton (Peter Payne), Gail Damon (Frank), Leo M. Norton, III (Rose Prestera) of Malden, Brian Norton of Lynn and Ann Marie Norton (Chris Burleson) of Hudson; her grandchildren, Matthew Norton, Kimberly Snow, Lisa Moreland, Dina Fowler, Stephanie Norton, Irene Ellis, Tara Soto, William M. Edge, Allison Edge, Frank Damon IV, Craig Damon and Shawn Damon; her great grandchildren, Sadie, Henry, Grace Norton, David, Alexis, Zachary Brown, Madison, Mia Moreland, Brooke, Dylan Fowler, Andrew Norton, Amelie Ellis, Maximo, Benjamin, Giovanni Soto, Evie, Penny Edge, Frank V, Tyler, Melianna Damon and Parker Digan; and her great great grandchildren, Amira and Maximo Soto. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 8:45 AM at the Robinson Funeral Home (809 Main St, Melrose, MA 02176). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Parish (770 Salem St, Malden, MA 02148). A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at the Forest Dale Cemetery (150 Forest St, Malden, MA 02148).
