He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn Spanks (Powers); his parents, Arthur G. Sr. Spanks and Elizabeth Spanks (Griffin); his daughter Nancy Kocur; and his siblings, Alan Richard Spanks, Judith Gaulin and Norman Spanks.
He is survived by: his children, Jane Murphy of Danvers, Susan Luz (Robert) of Florida and Russell Cobb (Mary) of Woburn; his grandson Brendan Murphy (Mackenzie) of Danvers; his great grandchildren, Carter and Scarlett; his grandchild Ryan Murphy (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Ronan, Emilia, Harrison and Desmond; his grandsons, Tom Cobb (Terri) of Peabody, Brian Cobb (Melanie) of Virginia and Peter Cobb (Kaitlin) of Danvers; his great grandchild Brandon; his grandchildren, Joseph Cobb and Laura Sousa (David) of Woburn; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob, Jonathan Cobb (Rachael) of Danvers, William Kocur Jr. of Salem, David Kocur (Kendra) of Derry, NH, Michael Kocur (Katie) of Burling and Melanie Carubia (Kevin) of Ipswich; his great great grandchildren, Henry and Caden; his son-in-law Bill Kocur Sr. (Dru) of Danvers; his brother Roger Spanks of Lynn; his daughter Kathi Crosby; and also, Jace, Maeve, Nichol, Payton, Jake, Shayla, Jacob, Aaron, Christopher Crosby of Georgetown, Eric Luz (Patti) of Wachusett, Tommy, Amy, Brian, Sean, Kevin and Debbie Dalgewicz (Kirk) of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
