She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Harris (Doucette) and Timothy Harris; her husband William A. Rice; her child Thomas J. Rice (Janice); and her siblings, Richard Harris, Barbara Holden and Pauline English.
She is survived by: her family Rummikub; her children, William A. Rice, Jr., Paula J. Marshall (Frank) and Kevin M. Rice; her grandchildren, Olivia Neumann (Christopher), Melony Rice, Julia Marshall (Justin Azulay), Victoria Rice and Andrew Marshall; her great grandchild William Neumann; and her sisters, Elizabeth Young and Ellen Richardson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Caring for a Cure for the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.
