She was predeceased by: her parent John Merzigian. She is survived by: her husband Richard S. Layte; her child Rebecca Paonessa; her grandchildren, Charlie, John, Anna, Rosie and Leona; her siblings, John Merzigian, Michael Merzigian, Francis Merzigian and JoAnn Sivazlian; her pet Aggie; her parent Elisa Merzigian (Gorgoglione); and her stepmother Jean Merzigian (Malone). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour.
