He was predeceased by: his wife Eva (Rantala); and his parents, Isaac Hirvi and Olga Hirvi (Koukkari). He is survived by: his daughter Ann Gwyther (John) of Rutland; his grandchildren, Lindsay Gwyther (Gil), Tracy Hookway (Steve) and Phil Gwyther (Rachel); his son Steven; and his sister Sylvia Burnap.
