He was predeceased by: his brother Ronald J. Shannon; and his parents, Joseph Shannon and Ida Shannon (Dahrooge). He is survived by: his wife Marlene M. Shannon (DeCoteau); his children, Brenda A. Shannon (Adam Edelsberg) of Providence, RI, Douglas J. Shannon of Paxton and Michael J. Shannon of New York City; his grandchildren, Amelia, Olive Edelsberg, Douglas Shannon, Sam Shannon and Myles Shannon (Joyce Guillen); and his great grandchild Ariadne.
