He was predeceased by: his parents, William Whitten and Rachel Whitten (Souliere). He is survived by: his son Richard Whitten (Marsha) of Springfield; his siblings, James Whitten (Cheryl) of Iowa, Peter Whitten (Lynn) of Brimfield, Jeffrey Whitten of North Brookfield and Beverly Raymond (John) of Palmer; his grandson Thomas Whitten; and his stepgranddaughters, Desirae and Destiny.
