Jeanne M. McGrath Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeanne M. McGrath in Palmer, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Jeanne shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jeanne farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna McGarr Blum and Daniel Blum; her former husband William McGrath of Palmer; and her daughter Ann Cooney. She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Greeley of Longmeadow, MA and Joan Ziemba (Michael) of Spring Hill, FL; and her sister Gladys Sullivan of Hingham, MA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many wonderful nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Forastiere Funeral Home (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Church (519 Longmeadow St, Longmeadow, MA 01106).
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Mary's Parish, The Jewish Nursing Home of Western Massachusetts, and Massachusetts Association of the Blind in honor of Margaret Judd.
