He was predeceased by: his wife Dawn V. Desy (Barrett); his siblings, Raoul Desy, Owen Desy, Francis "Mickey" Desy, Arlene Latour, Rita Marcotte and Doris Nankervis; and his parents, Louis R. and Bertha Desy (Gervais).
He is survived by: his sons, Mark O. Desy (Kimberly) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Steve B. J. Desy (Susan) of Brimfield; and his grandsons, Bryce (Aemilia), Graydon, Louis and Joseph Desy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
