He was predeceased by: his parents, Kaura Ram Chhabra and Janki Devi Chhabra. He is survived by: his sister Dera Ghazi Khan; his wife Riitta Chabra; and his children, Roy Chabra (Bonnie Chabra) of Marshfield, MA and Meera Chabra Gerlach (David Gerlach) of Metuchen, NJ.. He is also survived by grandchildren and a niece and nephew.
