Ruth A. (Butterfield) Robinson Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth A. (Butterfield) Robinson (Orange, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 3, 2025 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance L. Butterfield and Doris Butterfield (Clifford); her husband Charles E. Robinson; her brother Stuart Butterfield; her son-in-law John Tandy; and her granddaughter-in-law Amy O'Malley.

She is survived by: her children, Dana Robinson (Jean) of Petersham and Susan Tandy Songer (Kent) of Phillipston; her stepdaughters, Jane O'Malley Sardo of Central Islip, NY and Carol Symonds (Earl Taylor) of Harmony; her grandchildren, Matthew Robinson (Janelle), Erin Ghazali (Benjamin), Kyrra Nee, Robyn Hartin (Brian), Peter O'Malley (Nichole), Kevin O'Malley (Diana), Stephen O'Malley, Glenn Nicholas and Deb Williams (Greg); her great grandchildren, Macie, Levi Robinson, Eve, Benjamin III, Ghazali, Sophia, Zoey Nee, Logan, Gavin Hartin, Taylor Bednar (Luke), Jami Daigle, Kate, Megan, Riley and Emma O'Malley; and her great great grandchildren, Evelyn, Jennings Bednar and Syvia Bednar. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Witty's Funeral Home (158 S Main St, Orange, MA 01364). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Petersham Orthodox Congregational Church (21 N Main St, Petersham, MA 01366). She continued for another year until the volunteer program was shut down due to Covid.

In lieu of Flowers donations are suggested in Ruth's memory to the Orthodox Congregational Church P. O. Box 183, Petersham, MA 01366 for the Capital Improvement Fund or the Memorial Fund for the maintenance of the Church Organ.
