He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Karen "Candie" O'Brien (Korell); his children, Taylor O'Brien-Ciriello (Michael) of Walpole, Christopher O'Brien of Norwood and Scott O'Brien of Norwood; his grandchildren, Sean, Brayden, Ryanne and Emma; his parents, John F. O'Brien and Marguerite O'Brien (Daley); his siblings, Kathy Sullivan (Paul) of Walpole, Beth Pender (Paul) of Westwood, Cindy O'Brien (late Jimmy McLaughlin) of Medford, Marie Donovan (Bobby) of Weymouth, David O'Brien (Heidi) of Westwood, Julie Bain (Brian) of Walpole and Helena Stacey (Scott) of Westwood; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Campbell of Falmouth and Douglas Korell (Jackie) of Martha's Vineyard. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, extended family.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home (1248 Washington St, Norwood, MA 02062). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Timothy's Catholic Church (650 Nichols St, Norwood, MA 02062).
