We bid farewell to Louis Manuel Lopes of Norwood, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 28, 2024 at the age of 74. Louis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Diane Gately of Tallahassee, FL.; and his father Big Manny. He is survived by: his wife Susan Mary Lopes (Gately); his sons, Anthony (Christy) of Norwood and Louis Manuel (Laura) of Norwood; his grandchildren, Michael, Anthony Jack (AJ), Callie, Trip (Louis Manuel III), Emmie and Leo; his father Antonio Maria Lopes (Dacunha); his uncle Silverio; his aunt Celeste Araujo of Norwood; his cousins, Rose McDermott of Dover and Jose Dacunha of Norwood; and his siblings-in-law, Teresa Zorio of North Attleboro, Allan Gately, Denise, Stephen Curtin of West Roxbury, David, Pam Gately of Norwood, Paul and Sandy Gately of Pawcatuck, CT.. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home (1248 Washington St, Norwood, MA 02062). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Catherine of Siena Church (547 Washington St, Norwood, MA 02062). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:55 AM at the same location.
