He was predeceased by: his son Brian Briggs; his granddaughter Krystal; his siblings, Ronald Briggs and Gail Briggs; and his parents, Frank Briggs and Mildred Briggs.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Briggs (Curran); his children, Christine M. Petrie (Christopher) of Norfolk, Mark Briggs of Norwood and Stephen M. Briggs of Norwood; his grandchildren, Sara and Lindsey Petrie of Norfolk; and his siblings, Richard Briggs of Cape Cod, Robert Briggs and Nancy Wooding.
