She is survived by: her children, Michael John Evans (Kathy Kocian) of Ridgefield, Susan M. Evans of Somers, Keir Evans (Karen Fieldstad) of Suffield and Derek A. Evans (Tanya) of Westfield; her grandchildren, Jessica, Sam, Wil, Lizzy, Kate and Carys; and her brother Peter Bowman of Monmouth.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joan's name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
