He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Gavin (Middleton) and Joseph M. Gavin; and his sister Kathryn Gavin. He is survived by: his wife Maureen DeKarski (Dekarski); his children, Colleen Meinhold (Mike) of Hanson, Joseph Gavin (Alessandra) of Duxbury and Brendan Gavin of Hanson; his grandchildren, Lilah Meinhold, Gavin Meinhold, Ryan Bennett-Gavin and Daphne Gavin; and his siblings, Donna Parezo (Chris) and Gerard Gavin (Kathy).
