It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanna Perkins McCarter Cowperthwaite of Norwell, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 18, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband William J. Cowperthwaite; her children, Margaret Bridge of Belmont, MA, Catherine Bledsoe of Barrington, RI and W. Christopher Cowperthwaite of Dover, MA; and her brother William H. McCarter Jr. of Winchester, MA.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
