He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Bearse Merritt and Elizabeth Merritt; his wife Blanche Merritt (Carl); his son Harry Stephen Merritt; and his sisters, Eleanor Grace, Elizabeth Loud and Priscilla Spradlin.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Merritt of Norwell and Kathy May of Pembroke; his grandchildren, Harry L. Merritt (Danielle) of Norwell, Persephone Merritt (Bryan Larue) of Norwell, Parker Merritt (Katrina) of Foxboro and Ashley May (Michael Regan) of Scituate; his great grandchildren, Abigail Lynn Merritt, Harry James Merritt, Morgan Grace Merritt, Henry Michael Merritt and Sophia Grace Regan; his stepgreat-grandchild Reilynn Wert; his grandson Richard; and his great grandchild Kathy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sparrell Funeral Service Home (30 Central St, Norwell, MA 02061).
