He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter McConarty and Catherine McConarty (Levangie); his wife Marie McConarty (Lyons); his daughter Susan McConarty; his nephew John Paul McConarty; and his brother Paul McConarty (Doris).
He is survived by: his children, Gordon W. McConarty, Jr. (Judy) of Pembroke, Michael McConarty of Brockton, Stephen McConarty (Marie), Janet Macolini (Anthony) of Norwell, Ann Moran (Rick) of Quincy and Peter McConarty (Cindy) of Falmouth; his grandchildren, Matthew Moran of Dorchester, Laura McConarty of Brookline, Rich Moran of Holbrook, Karen McConarty of Boston, Annmarie Moran of Quincy, Rebecca McConarty and Paul Anderson Jr.; and his nieces, Mary Hunt of Braintree, Catherine Lovell of Brockton and Patricia McConarty of Beverly.
