Nancy Ann Gaffey Obituary
Foxborough-Nancy Ann (Linscott) Gaffey, age 83, died at her home in Norton surrounded by the comfort of her loving family on Monday, January 30, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Preston Linscott and Ruth (Olney) Linscott Dudley. Nancy was born in Mansfield on July 17, 1928 and was a graduate of Mansfield High School .
She has been a resident of Norton for the past 14 years and is a former long time resident of Foxborough. Nancy was a licensed practical nurse at the former Foxborough State Hospital and the Van Dora Nursing Home in Foxborough. She enjoyed feeding birds, playing bingo and was an avid New England sports fan. She was a supporter of the Coyle and Cassidy High School Warriors in Taunton .
Wife of the late William J. Gaffey. Beloved mother of William Dowsell of NJ, James Gaffey of LA, Anne Gonsalves of Norton, David Gaffey of Foxborough, Michael Gaffey of TX, Joseph Gaffey of RI and Mark Gaffey of Cambridge. Loving sister of Jan Greenberg of Foxborough. Dear friend of Jane Delaney of Foxborough. Also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral Information Calling hours for Nancy will be held on Thursday, February 2nd, from 9-11 AM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. , Foxborough. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours on Thursday. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxborough. For additional information please contact 508-543-5471.
