It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph P. Sweeney of Norton, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 4, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph F. and Mary T. Sweeney (Silverstrone). He is survived by : his wife Rosemary Sweeney (MacKenzie); his pet Retriever "Nala"; his children, Sean Sweeney (Nicole) of Florida and Holly Briggs of Norton; his grandchildren, Shane, Gavin, Aliyah and Brandon; and his siblings, Pamela McGuire of Everett, Maureen Barry of Norton, Judith Cahn of Georgia, Sandra Kaye of Attleboro, Christine Motowidlak of Georgia and Stephen Sweeney of Newton. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers. Joseph's family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Mansfield Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 25, Mansfield, MA 02048.
