He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Newcomb Dinsmore and Elizabeth Dorothy Lockett Dinsmore; his former wife Rosa Guiu Dinsmore; his sisters, Jean Williams (Dinsmore) and Joan Hume (Dinsmore); and his son-in-law Thadd W. Bistrek.
He is survived by: his wife Cuba; his children, Pamela D. Bistrek and Christopher J. Dinsmore (Jan Marie) of Norway, ME.; his grandchildren, Travis O. Bistrek (Christy) of Shelburne Falls, MA, Tolan J. Bistrek (Nara) of Brooklyn, NY, Bethany R. Walker (Brad) of Northfield, MA, James L. Dinsmore, Nathan C. Dinsmore and Joy Marie Downing (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Caitlin, Meredith Bistrek, Lillia, Camille, Tolan James, Samuel Bistrek, Austin, Sofia Rose Walker and Mairead Rosa Dinsmore; and his brother-in-law James A. Hume of Greenfield, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James' name to the Dickinson Memorial Library at 115 Main Street in Northfield, MA or to the Northfield VFW Post 9874, 545 Mt. Hermon Station Road.
