He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria A. Legassey (Mason); his sons, Steven R. Legasseyy and Russell E. Legassey; and his siblings, Frank Legassey, Roger "Buck" Legassey, Alice Mateychuk and Irene Dion.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin Lessard of Rockdale. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 1 great- grand daughter, and several nieces and nephews.
