Sam Landry wrote a sympathy message

“To Joanie and Family, Ted and I cannot express how deeply sorry we are for your loss. We always said to each other that we felt like we hit the lottery when we moved to Webster on Jeffrey St. because we had the most amazing people living across from us. We built a friendship that was everlasting with our neighbors and felt so at peace knowing that we had family right across the little dead-end street we lived on. Ed treated us like we were his own children. Ed was kindness and selflessness”
