He was predeceased by: his parents, Teake Wynja and Jean Wynja (Feenstra); and his sister Carolyn Nieuwbeerta. He is survived by: his wife Sandra A. Wynja (Youngsma); his children, David (Kimberly Wynja) of Worcester, Ruth (Scott Gibbons) of Whitinsville and Rachael (Capt); his siblings, Rev. Richard Wynja (Mary), James Wynja (Alice), Helen Postma and Theresa Schuurmann (Fred); his brother-in-law Wes Nieuwbeerta; and his grandchildren, Reid, Ian, Cameron, Julia, Elizabeth, Nathan, Leah and Simon.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pleasant Street Christian Reformed Church (25 Cross St, Whitinsville, MA 01588). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Whitinsville Christian School, 279 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
