He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Gorman and Mary J. Gorman (Blake); his wife Dolores I. Gorman (Gagnon); his son Robert "Rod" Gorman, Jr.; and his brother George Gorman.
He is survived by: his significant other Pamela L. Miller; his partner's children, Andrew Miller, Wendy Scoppa and Chad Miller; his daughters, Deborah Earle (Donald), Elizabeth Jeresaty (Michael) and Catherine Miller (John); his sister Valerie LaCrosse; and also, Robert, Evan, Ryan, Norah Miller and Lauren Scoppa. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
