He is survived by: his children, Laurie Covino (Christopher) of Northborough, Jesse Bender (Amanda) of Roanoke, VA, Scott Bender (Lindsay) of Santa Cruz, CA and Farrell Bender (Diana) of Los Angeles, CA; his grandchildren, Grace, Max, Zachary, Michael, Liam, Olive and Finnegan; his brother Philip Bender (Kathleen) of Cottonwood, AZ; his nephew Philip Bender; and also Nancy Drago.
